CONDITIONS & TREATMENTS
Neck Pain
Alleviate neck discomfort with personalized physiotherapy treatments in our Aurora, designed to restore mobility and reduce pain.
Our expert team of professionals are perfectly equipped to help your neck pain. Whether it’s a chronic issue that you have been dealing with for a long time or an acute injury you woke up with this morning, our therapists can help you fast. Our team relies primarily on a combination of:
- Manual therapy – including soft tissue and joint mobilization (and manipulation if required) and deep tissue trigger point release.
- Education on the right therapeutic exercises, sitting and working ergonomics.
- Only the most impactful modalities such as shockwave therapy and acupuncture
Our therapists understand that neck pain often happens as a result of poor sleep positions, and can recommend important changes to your pillow placement, and remind you to rotate your mattress every 3 months.
Shoulder Pain
Experience relief from shoulder pain through our expert physiotherapists in Aurora, focusing on strengthening and restoring function.
At Gemini Health Group we recognize that shoulder pain can be a tough one to live with and overcome in many cases because we don’t recognize the aggravating factors and continue to irritate the pain unknowingly. Our elite team of therapists can help identify the right therapeutic exercises that will help the shoulder get the blood-flow it needs to heal while not aggravating it. They will teach you the movements that are worth modifying or avoiding altogether while the shoulder is recovering.
Our therapists recognize that shoulder pain often stems from the neck which is why previous treatments may not have worked for you in the past. Treating the neck can be pivotal in addressing nagging shoulder pain, especially if pain, numbness/tingling is sometimes felt below the elbow, in the hand and fingers.
Our team of expert therapists will guide you on how to sleep better with your shoulder pain, use it more and prevent the devastating effects of atrophy and disuse. Although the road to recovery from many shoulder pains is slow and unpleasant, our therapists will use every tool available to help you on the way including:
- Manual therapy – including soft tissue and joint mobilization (and manipulation if required) and deep tissue trigger point release.
- Education on the right therapeutic exercises (rotator cuff strengthening/stretching), sitting and working ergonomics.
- Only the most impactful modalities such as shockwave therapy and acupuncture
Lower Back Pain
Experience lasting relief from lower back pain with our targeted physiotherapy services in Aurora, focused on restoring strength and flexibility.
Our team of expert therapists specializes in helping you with your acute and chronic low back pain. This type of pain is (unfortunately) our bread and butter. It is the most common reason for people to seek help from a physiotherapist, a chiropractor or a registered massage therapist.
The sad reality is that despite it being extremely common most clinics do not teach patients how to self manage their low back health and prevent severe pains from coming back. We actually know a lot about why back pain starts, recurs so often and lingers. At the heart of the issue is the massive imbalance we have between bending forward and bending backward. Considering that our lumbar spine bends forward most of the time when we sit, most North Americans are bent forward between 12-14 hours per day.
Our clinicians know that the secret to resolving low back pain is to introduce frequent repetitive bending backwards exercises. The sloppy push up is the primary movement our therapists teach patients among a variety of other custom-tailored exercises that they deem valuable for you.
Our elite team of therapists use a variety of tools to help your low back pain including:
- Manual therapy – including soft tissue and joint mobilization (and manipulation if required) and deep tissue trigger point release.
- Education on the right therapeutic exercises, sitting and working ergonomics.
- Only the most impactful modalities such as shockwave therapy and acupuncture
Sports Injuries
Get back in the game with our sports injury rehabilitation services in Aurora, tailored to your specific needs and goals.
Our team of expert therapists at Gemini Health Group are all personally familiar with sports injuries and have vast experience with treating all kinds of sports injuries.
Our team recognizes that being active and engaging in physical activity including playing elite level competitive sports comes with a risk, primarily orthopedic injuries. Our goal at Gemini Health Group is to keep you active and support you with the best possible treatment options while you continue playing/exercising where its not significantly hindering your recovery.
The tools our therapists use include:
- Manual therapy – including soft tissue and joint mobilization (and manipulation if required) and deep tissue trigger point release.
- Education on the right therapeutic exercises, stretching and strengthening.
- Only the most impactful modalities such as shockwave therapy and acupuncture
Sports injuries can be frustrating, but they can also be an opportunity. An opportunity to learn about your body, gain a better understanding of how it fixes itself and get better prepared for the next time an injury happens.
In many cases our patients come out of their treatment plans in a better position than they were before their injury.
Plantar Fasciitis
Put your best foot forward with our plantar fasciitis treatments in Aurora, addressing pain and supporting your recovery.
Our team of expert therapists at Gemini Health Group is ready to help you get over one of the most stubborn and frustrating pains people ever deal with. Plantar Fasciitis can be challenging to treat successfully but our therapists employ only the most effective techniques including:
- Manual therapy – including soft tissue (of the calf and tibialis posterior and joint mobilization /manipulation of the ankle and heel) and deep tissue trigger point release (in the calf and shin).
- Education on the right therapeutic exercises (including hip strengthening and lower back movements)
- Only the most impactful modalities such as shockwave therapy and acupuncture
Our therapists recognize how frustrating dealing with plantar fasciitis is and recommend the most effective and quick treatment plan to resolve your pain.
In some cases plantar fasciitis originates from the hip and low back which can lead to many unsuccessful treatment attempts. Our expert therapists recognize that and put you through a thorough assessment to figure out the root cause of your plantar fasciitis and then prescribe the most effective treatment plan to address it as quickly as possible.
Tennis Elbow (Lateral Elbow Pain)

Although they do their best to figure out the root cause of your pain, it isn’t always possible to know for sure without extensive medical imaging. Which is why our expert clinicians treat all the possible sources of the pain in a comprehensive approach.
Our therapists use all the most impactful treatment techniques to treat your tennis elbow including:
- Manual therapy – including soft tissue and joint mobilization (and manipulation if required) and deep tissue trigger point release both in the lateral elbow/wrist extensors as well as up the chain in the shoulder and neck.
- Education on the right therapeutic exercises, sitting and working ergonomics.
- Only the most impactful modalities such as shockwave therapy and acupuncture
Golfer's Elbow (Medial Elbow Pain)

I was born in Iran and moved to Canada when I was just 5 years of age. For the most part we have lived near or in Richmond Hill. I have a small pomchi named Bella who loves everyone but is scared of everything. Aside from working at Gemini, I am a full time student at York University. By studying psychology, I hope to become a psychotherapist and help others.
